How To Draw An Elevation Line In Revit

Revit

In coordination with the Ideate Inc. YouTube video on Autodesk Revit 2014 – Peak Improvements, this post describes how the Revit 2014 meridian tag lines include a new comeback.

For many releases, users have had the power to create jogged sections to suit a section line around unlike features of their blueprint. Still, this functionality has been lost to elevation lines until the introduction of Revit 2014. Previously when adding an acme tag, the pinnacle line was express to being linear. In pattern weather such as the one beneath, the improver of an height line would cause the elevation line to cross through other building elements obscuring the elevation view.

New to Revit 2014, elevation lines can be split into segments similar to the manner a department is split to create a jogged department. Figure 2 represents the ability of splitting the superlative line to jog effectually Building B to create a desired elevation view. To practice this, select the elevation line, in the Ribbon select the Split Segments tool and pick the elevation line where you would like to split the line, then motility the separate segment to the desired location.

Don't forget to look through other nifty features our Ideate Technical Team has plant in the new 2014 releases for Revit MEP, Revit Structure, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and more.
